James "Jim" Hoover, 78, of Hope passed away Friday, October 17, 2025, in Hope.

Jim was born July 20, 1947, in Altoona, Pennsylvania to Julius and Mary Bingham Hoover. He worked at the Shelter Workshop for over 30 years and a member of the Unity Baptist Church. Jim enjoyed watching western shows and visiting with family and friends. He liked to play Bingo at Heather Manor Nursing Home. Jim especially enjoyed Sundays when he went to church and after have lunch with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Richard Hoover.

Survivors include two sisters, Kathleen Triplett (James) of Hope and Donna Bradshaw (Wayne) of Stewartstown, PA; numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.

Visitation will be held 5:00pm-7:00pm Friday, October 24, 2025, at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.

Chapel services are scheduled for 2:00pm Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home with Bro. Nick Flowers officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
