James Louis Houlihan

James L. Houlihan
87, Neenah, passed away at his home on February 26, 2025. He was born on December 28, 1937, in Appleton to the late Louis and Lillian (Brandt) Houlihan. Jim graduated from Appleton High School in 1956. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and proudly served his country for two years.
While going to school and serving an apprenticeship to become an electrician he married the love of his life, Kathleen Farrell, on September 30, 1961. He worked as an electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union 577 of Appleton for many years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, was an avid Packers fan and enjoyed being a part of the Boy Scouts while his sons were active.
Jim was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Kathy of 63 years; children: Tim (special friend Christine) Houlihan, Mark Houlihan and Molly Houlihan; grandchildren: Mason Houlihan and Morgan (fiancé, Justin Piotter) Houlihan; a sister, Patricia Krizenesky and a sister-in-law, Marge Granberg as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law: Robert (Elizabeth) Farrell and Chris Granberg and nephew Kurt Granberg.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jim will be held at 11:30 AM, Friday, March 7, 2025, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, (900 Geiger St.) Neenah with Rev Robert Kollath officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 AM Friday directly at church. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Appleton.
