James Jackson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by California Cremation & Burial - San Diego on Jan. 29, 2026.
James Raymond Jackson Jr. was born on March 10, 1983, in San Diego, CA to James Raymond Jackson Sr. and Karla Jackson. He grew up in Spring Valley, California, where he built lifelong friendships and memories that shaped the man he became. James attended Morse High School and was known for his gentle nature, kind spirit, and the joy he brought to those around him.
James had a deep love for music and rapping, often expressing himself through rhythm and lyrics. He brought laughter to his family and friends and had a way of making people feel comfortable and cared for. In recent months, James began attending The Rock Church in San Diego, where he found fellowship and spiritual grounding.
James leaves to cherish his memory his son, Jorden James Jackson, loving parents, James Raymond Jackson Sr. and Karla Jackson; his sister, Karla; his twin cousin, Tiffany White; his Auntie Charlotte Lathan; his uncles, Ronnie Carroll, Kenny Carroll, Roger Carroll ,Robert Wright Jr., Ryan Wright , and Brian Wright ; Best friend, Marcus White Sr, and a host of cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Velma Jo Carroll; his grandfather, Robert Wright Sr, his uncle, Michael Hooper; and his aunt, Arlesia Graham.
Those who knew James will always remember that you could count on him to enjoy 12 rolled tacos from Grandma Jo's Taco Shop and a Coke-a simple act that reflected his generous heart. James will be deeply missed, but his laughter, love, and spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
