James Jauregui Obituary

Jauregui - James John, 67, of Ronkonkoma. Our "Jimbo" entered eternal life the afternoon of July 15, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in NYC to Francis and John Jauregui, he was raised in Bethpage. Graduated from Holy Trinity High School in '73, earned his Bachelor's in Medical Technology and Master's in Microbiology at CW Post, he was employed by Central General Hospital, then Northwell Health for 45 years as a microbiologist. Loving husband of 43 years to Rose Marie. Devoted father of John, Kevin, Dean (Alison), and April. Cherished brother of Jane and brother-in-law to Joanne Ganci. Travelled extensively with his Hui and blessed them with many wonderful memories. Creator of the Rendezvous Handshake. Jim loved his family, church, work, and community. He never met a buffet he didn't like. He was a friend to all and loved to talk with anyone who would listen. Visitation at Moloney's Funeral Home on Monday and Tuesday, July 18 and July 19, 5:00-9:00PM. Funeral Mass Wednesday, July 20, at St. Joseph's of Ronkonkoma.
