James Jester Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Evans Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services - Parkville on Nov. 22, 2024.
James "Big Jimmy" Jester, IV, age 54, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024. Born on January 6, 1970, in Maryland, Big Jimmy was the caring son of James III and Janet Jester, and grew to be a stalwart member of his community, loved by many.
Big Jimmy was a loving husband to his wife of 24 years, Elizabeth Jester. Together, they built a life filled with joy and support. He was a devoted father to his sons, Ryan Rychwalski and his fiancée Malani, Joshua Rych-Jester and his wife Ashley, and Little Jimmy V, and his girlfriend Morgan. In addition, Big Jimmy was a cherished brother to Joanne Jester, a dear nephew to Doris Coradi, Alan Strickroth and his family, as well as Mary Jean Strickroth and her family. His granddogs, Matzoball and Furie, always brought a smile to his face and joy to his life.
Over 37 years, Big Jimmy dedicated himself to his profession as a Mechanic, with many of those years spent at Frame Rite, where his work ethic and skills were greatly appreciated by colleagues and clients alike.
Apart from his dedication to work, Big Jimmy was an avid fisherman enjoying the tranquility of baitcasting both off the boat and surf fishing. Thanks to the incredible generosity of so many kind-hearted people, Big Jimmy was able to fulfill his life long dream catching fish on Lake Gaston and the Potomac River. He was also deeply involved in the lives of young people as a proud Cub Master and Scout Master of Troop 475 for over two decades.
Described by loved ones as loving, thoughtful, and with a huge sense of humor. Big Jimmy left a legacy that will forever be cherished by his numerous friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known him. He modeled strength, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community, making him a towering figure in the lives of many. Big Jimmy's warm spirit and generous heart will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Big Jimmy's life at the family owned Evans Life Celebration Home - 8800 Harford Road, Parkville MD 21234, for a Receiving of Friends on Wednesday, November 27th 2024, from 12-1PM. A prayer service will follow the receiving of friends at 1PM.
