James “Jim” N. Gilbertson, age 77, passed away peacefully on
September 19th , 2023 with family by his side. He was born on
March 9th 1946 to the late Norman and Beatrice(Birr) Gilbertson
in Oconto Falls, WI.
James was known for woodworking, camping and stock car
racing. He was a man of many stories, and always teased his
friends any chance he had. He was always there to help anyone
in need; from building a cabinet or deck, helping trim up
bushes/trees, or helping haul heavy things. If he was needed,
he was there to give advice. James retired from RR Donnelley
after working there for many years. The love he had for his wife
Diana was a love that will last a lifetime. He enjoyed taking her
out for Friday fish fry’s and chicken dinners.
James will be missed by his wife, Diana Gilbertson; son,
Jon(Sarah) Gilbertson; grandchildren, Esther and Weston
Gilbertson; daughter, Jill(Chad) Prisk, grandchildren, Meygan
and Hunter Prisk; step son, Dan Rogers, grandchildren,
Kate(Lorenzo)Martin, Kayla Rogers; step daughter, Louann
Rogers and grandchildren, Shana(Ashley)Greuel,
Sarah(Waleed)Kamal, Abby Zoeller(Steaphan); great
grandchildren, Dakota, Stella, Adam and Malak; brother,
Gary(Linda) Gilbertson; sisters, Lois(Mert) Corwin, Mary(Dale)
Behringer; sister in law, Sharon Gilbertson and further survived
by sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and
dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis
Gilbertson.
A private service will be held at a later date.
