Jim Peine was one of the best volunteers, researchers, and genealogists at the SCCHS. I had the pleasure of working with him for two and half years when I was the archivist and he was truly a treasure. I learned so much from him! Including how to say Darden. My condolences to his family, and all of his friends. He was very special and will be missed tremendously.

Last year I was helped by Jim at the St Charles County Historical Society's Archives. We were thrilled that Jim was there! He helped us with our Groeblinghoff Ancestors. Such a nice, informative gentleman. He even sent me an email with pictures of other relatives. The world needs more Jim Peines
