James Reynolds Obituary
James T. Reynolds, 82, of Sylvania, OH, died peacefully Sunday, August 24, 2025, at his home. He was born November 14, 1942, in Toledo, OH, to the late Theodore "Ted" R. and Hazel C. (Swartzlander) Reynolds. He was a 1960 graduate of Harris-Elmore High School and received his Master's Degree in Engineering from The University of Toledo. Jim retired from Dana Corporation in 2005, having started working there summers while in college. Jim had a life-long interest in the U.S. Space Program, enjoyed attending The University of Toledo football games, and was devoted to his dogs, Gracie and Squeaky.
Survivors include his daughter, Robin Reynolds, of Pleasant Prairie, WI; grandson, Tyler Holcomb, of Highland Park, IL; and sister, Carol Reynolds, of Sarasota, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will begin at 1 p.m., on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elmore-Genoa Chapel, 19550 W. SR 51, Elmore, OH 43416. The family will receive friends on Thursday, beginning at 11 a.m., until the time of Service. Burial will be in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery, Elmore, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Glenkirk (in memory of Jim Reynolds), 3504 Commercial Avenue, Northbrook, IL 60062.
