James George Siddall, 84, of Urbandale, was born on July 1st, 1941, and passed away peacefully on December 13th, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Born and raised in Mallard, Iowa, James grew up on a farm, where he learned the values of hard work, perseverance, and compassion. James honorably served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1963. Following his service, he spent years driving semis and buses across the country. In 1977, he became a business owner and ran Siddall Moving & Storage for over 40 years.
James enjoyed hunting, fishing, and horseback riding. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Karen; his children, Mike Siddall (Anita) and Julie Reynolds; his grandchildren, Anna Siddall (Matt) and Jake Reynolds (Tammy); great-grandchildren, Maci and Uly; his brothers, Ed Siddall (Laurie) and Ken Siddall (Sheila); and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Maurine Siddall, and his infant daughter, Susan.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 21st, 2025, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Urbandale, IA, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Additionally, a service will be held in Emmetsburg, IA, in the spring; details will be shared at a later date.
