August 27, 1944 - February 20, 2024
Bellefonte, Pennsylvania - James "JJ" H. Johnstonbaugh, 79, of Bellefonte, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Born on August 27, 1944, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Charles and Ruth (Dolan) Johnstonbaugh.
JJ attended school at Bellefonte High School. He worked for Cerro Copper and Brass for over 35 years until his retirement in 2007.
He is survived by six nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Charles and Ruth, he was predeceased by his sister, Judith Corman, and his brother, Gary Dolan.
JJ was a member of the American Legion Post #33, the Moose Lodge #206, VFW Post #1600, and the Undine Fire Company, all in Bellefonte. He enjoyed taking his regular walks through town and in his spare time he enjoyed gambling and visiting the clubs.
Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of James to Bellefonte EMS at 369 Phoenix Avenue, Bellefonte, PA 16823, or to the Undine Fire Company at 133 E. Bishop Street, Bellefonte, PA 16823.
