Mr James Gray Jones

James �IGG� Gray Jones James �IGG� Gray Jones age 59 of Crab Orchard passed away suddenly on Saturday February 17, 2007. Born November 20, 1947 he was the son of Wiley M. (Casey) and Clara F. Jones. He was an excellent golfer and a member of Stone Haven Golf Club. In 1981 he was the Champion of the Four Ball Golf Tournament and in 1985 was the Runner Up also of the Four Ball Champion Tournament. In 1988 he came in 1st place in the BNI Golf Tournament. He was a Supervisor, Special Investigations for the Department of Labor at MSHA at Mt Hope, WV and he served in the U. S. Army. He was of the Freewill Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents W. M (Casey) & Clara �Frankie� Jones, two sisters Mary �Kathy� Munsey of Winterpark, FL and Lena Griffith of Charleston. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Linda �Penny� Jones of Crab Orchard; his son James Watson Jones at home; six brothers Emmet Jones of Richmond, VA; McKinley Jones & his wife Charlotte of Denver, CO; Alex �Jim� Jones of Morrison, CO; Melvin Jones & his wife Billie of Huntsville, AL; Charles T. Jones & his wife Connie of Shady Spring, WV; and Larry Jones of Sophia, WV. Four sisters Betty Jarvis Buck of Westerville, OH; Janet Stovall of Sophia, WV; Penny Prunesti and her husband Angelo (Swat) of Daniels, WV and Frances Bowers & her husband Dwight of Mabscott, WV. Services will be held Friday February 23, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Donnie Kelly officiating. Eulogy will be given by Clayton Terry. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Clayton Terry; Eddie Jenkins; Jim Bowman; Dwight Smith; Link Self; and Dana Housh.
