I knew Jim since 1994 when I lived at Project Heat for a year. He was the manager and AODA counselor. He was also a great friend. He was caring and most helpful to me especially through my first year of recovery in AA. He was a great guy.

I just heard of Jim's passing. My deepest sympathy to his entire family. Jim was best friend's with my brother Jeff Claassen and went to Vietnam with my brother Gary. Jim and I just connected on Facebook a couple of years ago and had some great conversations. He was a great person. I was so happy to hear that he connected with my brother Jeff before he died in 2012.
God bless all of you.
Love,
Jayne "Claassen" Snieg

My sincere condolences from bottom of my heart on the passing of Jimmy Kay. I had the pleasure of playing with Jimmy at the blues clubs many times over the years and at Summerfest. He was a friend, fellow musician and a blues artist to the bone. I'm really going to miss him.

My condolences to your family and friends. Jimmy was a really nice guy and I had the pleasure of attending St. Romans and Pulaski High School with him. We shared a love of the blues.

I have a deep rooted appreciation of blues music because Jim as an artist played the blues guitar with passion. Jim had a deep rooted love respect for his family and his friends. As his cousin, I loved Jim dearly.
