James Michael “Bo” King, Jr., age 38 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at the Big Southfork Medical Center in Oneida, Tennessee.

He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on September 13, 1986 the son of Mike and Amelia “Millie” (Coffey) King. Bo had been a plant operator for the McCreary County Water District Sewer Division and a member of the Stearns First Baptist Church, but attended the First HIckory Grove Baptist Church. Golfing, being outdoors, family, but especially his children were his favorite things in life.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Woodrow and Zelma Coffey and Denzil and Laura Jane King.

Survivors include his parents, Mike King of Stearns, Kentucky and Amelia “Millie” King and husband, Joey of Marshes Siding, Kentucky; children, Maddox Lane King of Whitley City, Kentucky, Keiston Jax King of Whitley City, Kentucky, Lynex Preslee King of Whitley City, Kentucky and Tucker James King of Revelo, Kentucky; and sister, Stephanie Davis and husband, Denny.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Friday, April 11, 2025 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie King and Bro. Tim Stephens officiating. Burial to follow in the Angel Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Thursday, April 10, 2025 at the Funeral Home.
