James Kortas Obituary
Passed away peacefully July 24, 2024 at the age of 75. Loving father to Regina (Sam) Stair and Christina (Chris) Fogel. Also survived by his sisters Carol, Jeanette and Irene, and grandchildren Ethan Fogel, Tyler Horounziak, Alex Stair, Grace Fogel and Weston Fogel and his beloved dog Muffy.
James was a proud Navy veteran. He enjoyed cooking for others, loved music, fixing cars, and the occasional Dad jokes. His love for the Chicago bears never wavered. He was a recovering alcoholic of 45 years and lived the program. His true compassion for those without families over the holidays with a door is always open.
His funeral is being held at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Niles, IL 6800 N Milwaukee Ave Niles, IL 60714 on Saturday, August 3rd at noon.
