James Lannoo Obituary

James Odell Lannoo

November 15, 1942 - November 10, 2025

Orange City, Florida - James Odell Lannoo, devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, teacher, and faithful servant of Christ, passed peacefully on November 10, 2025, surrounded by family. He would have celebrated his 83rd birthday in just a few days. James dedicated 45 years of his life to teaching inspiring generations of students with his knowledge, patience, and sense of humor. His influence reached far beyond the classroom - he was a mentor, a storyteller, and a man who led by example. A devoted Christian, James lived each day with humility, kindness, and gratitude. His faith was his foundation, guiding him through life's joys and challenges. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pam Lannoo, and his son, Corey Lannoo. James is survived by his brothers, Mike Lannoo (Pilar), and Hank Lannoo; his son, Sean and wife Kristin; and his cherished grandchildren: Whitney Lannoo (Amanda), Stephanie Whitmire (Ryan), Corey Lannoo Jr. (Aurora), Kyle Lannoo (Kyla), Dustin Lannoo (Chasity), Logan Taaffe, Hunter Taaffe (Taylor), and Emilee Lannoo (Logan). He also leaves behind 11 great-grandchildren. James's faith, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know him. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor his remarkable life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Sun Coast Christian Church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in remembrance of James's lifelong dedication to faith and education.
