James Adam “Jim” Lefler, age 49, of Duchesne, passed away December 28, 2025, at his home.
He was born March 18, 1976, in Heber City, Utah, to William James and Kathleen Newman Lefler. He married Brandy Roberts on December 2, 1994, in Tabiona, Utah.
Jim was a hard worker and could do just about anything with his hands. He owned and operated JB Lefler Trucking, an oilfield trucking company. He was a good mechanic and could build just about anything. He was a licensed pilot and loved flying and building radio controlled airplanes. He also enjoyed boating, riding his motorcycle and snowmobiles. He had a great sense of humor, and would give anyone the shirt off his back, if they needed it.
His loved his children and grandchildren – they were his world.
James is survived by his wife of 31 years, Brandy, of Duchesne; daughters, Desiree Lefler (Jace Stevenson), Altamont; Kacie Lefler (Jordan Germer), Roosevelt; grandson, Maxtyn & Tayvyn Stevenson; his father, William Lefler, Tabiona; brothers, Jeremy (Sharley) Lefler, St. George; John (Camille) Lefler, Strawberry River Road; Jed Lefler, Duchesne; Justin (Sarah) Lefler, Price; Jordan Lefler, Duchesne; Jaren (Alishia) Lefler, Roosevelt; father-in-law, Vern Roberts, Fruitland; sister-in-law, Kari (Ryan) Crum, Duchesne; brother-in-law, Shane Roberts, Taylorsville; numerous nieces and nephews, and his favorite dog, “Sammy Boy.”
He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, mother-in-law, Cindy Roberts; sister-in-law, Michelle Lefler.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Duchesne Stake Center in the cultural hall of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There will be a viewing from 11:00 a.m.-12:45 p.m.
Burial will be in the Duchesne City Cemetery.
