Mr. James Paul Lessenberry, age 86, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022, at his residence.
James was born August 1, 1935, to the late Herbert Lessenberry and the late Flossie Gravens Lessenberry. He was also preceded in death by a son, Lawrence Lessenberry and a great-grandson, Ty Lessenberry.
He is survived by Mary Lessenberry, his loving wife of 65 years; a son, Donald (Brenda) Lessenberry of Edmonton, KY; a daughter, Avonda Kay Vance of FL; grandchildren, Joshua (Emily) Lessenberry of Bowling Green, KY, Jamie (Jason) Kelling of Munfordville, KY, Jeremy Lessenberry of Edmonton, KY, David Lessenberry of Edmonton, KY, Chrissy Bell of AR, Zachary Vance of Indianapolis, IN, Chris Vance of Indianapolis, IN, & Billy Lessenberry of Edmonton, KY; twenty great-grandchildren including Daisy Lessenberry; brother, Joseph Lessenberry of Temple Hill, KY; sister, Scarlett Garmon of Temple Hill, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
James was a collector of many things. He loved spending his time working on cars and going to the salvage yards seeing what new treasures he could find. He liked antique cars, especially Fords. James worked for many years until he couldn't anymore, then he became a full-time grandpa. He loved keeping up with his family and spending time with them. He loved his wife dearly and made it his goal to make her happy.
