James Lewis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Marvin C. Zanders Funeral Home, Inc. on Dec. 16, 2025.
A loving father, a loving brother, a loving son. James Edward "Pop" Lewis, Jr., was born on March 12, 1963, in Orlando, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juanita Haynes-Wimberly and James Edward Lewis, Sr.

James spent his early years in Apopka, FL, later moving to Orlando, FL, where he attended High School at Oak Ridge High School in the early 1980's.

James was a radiant presence in all lives he touched and exhibited compassion and generosity in all things he did. He had an enormous impact on all he knew, always willing to help in any capacity, and made everyone feel valued. A skilled tradesman, James had a deep passion for automotive repair, home projects, and landscaping; his work with his hands reflected both his creativity and determination.

For more than a decade, James worked in construction, earning respect for his skill and work ethic. But beyond his profession, his greatest impact was on the people around him, and always showing up, always helping, always loving.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Lewis, Sr.; mother, Juanita Haynes-Wimberly; and brother, Bryant Lewis.

James leaves to cherish his memories: his Children: James Edward Lewis III (Robyn) - Augusta, GA, Saquaia Autry - Kissimmee, FL, Mario Lewis (Shatavia) - Augusta, GA, and Tiffany Tarver - Altamonte Springs, FL; Grandchildren: Jada Lewis, Zayd, Tavion Tarver, Demarion Lewis, Da'Mya Lewis, Jaden Lewis, Jerrod Bosket, Ricardo Miller, Cameron Miller, TIffany Miller; Bonus-Mother: Bernice Lewis - Orlando, FL; Siblings: Cassandra Lewis - Orlando, FL, Al Gilmore - Alberque, New Mexico, Darron Wilson (Suzette) - Atlanta, GA,, Kelvin Lewis - Orlando, FL, Keith Lewis - Orlando, FL, Nicholas Wimberly (Latonia) – Vine Grove, Kentucky and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and and friends.

As we say "so long" to James, we remember the beauty he found in the world around him, and the love he generously shared with us all. May he rest in eternal peace
