James J. Lipo, 80, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
James was born in Perth Amboy, NJ, and began working alongside his father in the plumbing trade as a teenager. He later earned his Master Plumber’s License and built a lifelong career in the field through skill, dedication, and hard work.
James began his adult life in Edison, NJ, where he and his wife raised their family over the course of more than two decades. He later lived in Phoenix, AZ, Doylestown, PA, Sun Lakes, AZ, to Warrington, PA before ultimately returning to New Jersey to enjoy retirement in Little Egg Harbor.
James was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, problem-solving nature, and willingness to lend a helping hand. Known for his handyman talent and practical wisdom, he was always ready to fix, build, or improve something for family, friends, and neighbors.
James was predeceased by his parents, Anthony Lipo Sr. and Anna Lipo, and his brother, Anthony Lipo Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Janice Lipo; daughter Jennifer T. Genta of Tempe, AZ; son James D. Lipo and wife Andrea of Phoenix, AZ; sisters Linda Peters and Arlene Pierce and husband Donald; grandchildren Jake Grum, MacKenzie Barton, Zakary Gorzynski, Lexi Lipo, and Kalli Lipo; great-grandchildren Gray Grum and Kayden Barton; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Cremation and services will be private.
