James Edward Lipofski, born on June 29, 1960, in
Sanford, North Carolina, passed away on January 28, 2026, in
Greensboro, North Carolina, at the age of 65.
James, known affectionately to many as "Jimmy," was a dedicated and skilled house painter who proudly worked as a self-employed craftsman for 30 years. His work brought color and life to countless homes, and his commitment to his craft was admired by all who knew him.
Beyond his professional life, James found joy in simple pleasures. He was an avid enthusiast of horseshoes, enjoyed the tranquility of fishing, and relished the opportunity to cook on the grill for family and friends. These interests reflected his love for the outdoors and his appreciation for life's everyday moments.
James attended Norwood High School in
Pittsboro, NC, where he formed lasting friendships and laid the foundation for his future endeavors. At the age of 60, he accepted Christ at Charity Baptist Church in Saxapahaw, NC, where he became a devoted member, finding peace and community in his faith.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Doris and Bernard Lipofski. James is survived by his brothers Douglas Badders, John Badders, Freddy Lipofski, and Ronnie Lipofski, as well as his sister Elizabeth Hooker. He shared a special bond with his niece Holly Hooker and cherished his great nieces and nephews. James leaves behind a large and loving family who will deeply miss his presence and the warmth he brought into their lives.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember James's life and legacy. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
