James "Jimmy" "Ace" Lively entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the age of 79. Jimmy was born in Biloxi, Mississippi, on April 24, 1945, to John O. Lively, Sr. and Susan Garcia Lively.
He is preceded in death by Joan Tapper, Florence Garner, Mary Hedgecoth and John O. Lively, Jr.; his son, Kevin Lively; and nephew, Clinton Tapper.
Jimmy is survived by his twin sister, Jane Lively Glavan; and sons, James Luther (Jimmy) Lively, Jr., Keith Lively, Sr., Jason Lively and Ryan Babcock (Lesley). Jimmy is Grandfather to Keith Lively, Jr., Keilee Lively, Ramsey Lansdale, Devon Lively, Tyler Lively, Elizabeth Babcock, Andrew Babcock, Mathew Lively, Alex Lively, Ryleigh Lively, Jason Lively, Jr., Jamie Lively, Kyle Lively and Alex Hall. Jimmy is also survived by his 14 great grandchildren, his nieces, nephews and wonderful lifelong friends.
A native and proud resident of Biloxi, Jimmy attended D’Iberville High School. Jimmy was a master electrician and owner of ACE Contractors, Inc., in Biloxi. Jimmy was a devoted member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. He was a member of The Old Biloxi Marching Club, a member of Elks Lodge in Biloxi, and a member of Gearhead Cruisers. He loved fishing, Mardi Gras, and spending time with all his grandkids and family. Jimmy will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to a visitation on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue, Biloxi, Mississippi from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 13, 2025, at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 2090 Pass Road, Biloxi, Mississippi. Interment will take place following the Mass at Biloxi City Cemetery. Immediately following the burial, please join us for a celebration of life at 720 Ivy Hill Drive, Biloxi, Mississippi.
