James " Jimi" Thomas Clair lll, 38, of Franklin, IN, passed away unexpectedly in his home on February 20,2026. James was born on December 27, 1987 in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of Michael Jerome Clair and Cyndi Lu Wolff, the beloved brother of the late Jennifer Paige McFadden, Christopher Burton McFadden, Amanda Michelle Clair and L. Nicholas Clair (Hannah). He is survived by his wife Natalie Renae Clair and his children, Christian Thomas Hunter, Justin Thomas Hunter, Murphy Louise Clair and Marley Monroe Clair. James is reunited in Heaven with his grandparents, Dr. William T and Marion Clair, and Dr. James M and Kathry Wolff.

Jimi was a licensed Journeyman plumber with the Local 440 Union of Indianapolis. In addition, he proudly owned his own business as a plumbing contractor. His business Jimi the Plumber LLC was voted the " Neigbhood Favorite" business by Nextdoor 5 years in a row. Jimi took great pride in his work, he was truly a perfectionist when it came to his craft and relished in doing it the "right way".

He had a lifelong passion for music. His eclectic taste ranged from rock n roll, hip hop, reggae, country and beyond. Jimi loved music so much that he began creating his own and performed under the stage name " Jimi Inphinity". Musicfed his soul and was always his first love. Though he is no longer with us, his music will live on forever.

Jimi had a truly giving heart. He cared deeply for his family and friends, always putting others before himself. Above all else, Jimi's four children were the center of his world. Being a father gave his life purpose and meaning beyond measure. Anyone lucky enough to be loved by him felt the depth of that love in everything he did.

In addition to his immediate family, Jimi was loved by his aunts and uncles Barbara Clair Harris, Kevin Clair and Lisa Stadler, Eric Clair and the late Susan Proctor, Norah and Sean Gourlay, Bridget Clair and the late Tom O'Brien ll, and James and Ann Wolff; cousins Charlie, Kelly, Dillon, Alex (Kayla), Trent, Eliana, Rachel, Julia, Olivia, John (Erin), Jamie, Wendy and the late Riley Clair. He was also blessed with 15 nieces and nephews; and many extended family members that loved him deeply.

Jimi pursued recovery with strength, corage and humility. His journey serves as a reminder that help, hope, healing and redemption are always within reach. We rejoice in knowing that he is now resting peacedfully in the loving arms of God.

A Celebration of Life has been planned for James's family and firiends at Emmanuel Church Banta Campus on Saturday, February 28th, 2026, at 10:00 am.
