James Long Obituary
James DeWaine Long passed away February 8, 2026. James was born one October 13, 1942 to Carmel and Alice Long of Little Birch, WV. Leaving WV in his late teens to help provide for his family, James found himself in Akron, OH where he met the love of life Betty(d:2024) and shared 60 years of marriage James began his training as a tire molder for Admiral Machine before securing a position with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company where he was employed for 35 years.
James is survived by his sons, James (wife-Lorna), David (husband-Marc), grandchildren Christian (Erin), George, Michael, Kaleigh, and Taylor (David).
A Celebration of Life/Memorial will be announced in the Spring.
