Mr. James "Duck" Lord

Mr. James Donald "Duck" Lord, age 95, of Maysville, GA died Thursday, March 26, 2026 at his residence. Mr. Lord was born in Commerce to the late Tom Watson and Mattie Odessa Lord. He was co-owner of Lord Brother Masonry, a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the Masonic Lodge and a 32nd Degree Mason. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lord was preceded in death by his brothers, Ed, Roy and Paul Lord; and sisters, Elizabeth Belk, Thelma Crumley, Margaret Minish, Cathleen Lord, Gwynell Lord, and Annie Webb.

Mr. Lord is survived by his wife, Evelyn Seay Lord of Maysville; son, Jeff Lord (Kristy) of Maysville; sisters, Betty Burchett of Commerce and Martha Hancock of Martinez; sister-in-law, Brenda Smith (Dennis); and granddaughter, Joely Lord.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Saturday, March 28 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Mr. Randy Farmer officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5 to 8 PM.

In lieu of flowers, make donations to the Scottish Rite Children's Hospital.
