James Michael "Jim" Lucci

1938 - 2024

James "Jim" Michael Lucci, 86, of Anacortes, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024 at his home.

Jim was born on March 24, 1938 to Frank and Carrie Lucci in Seattle, WA.

He served in the Navy and received a Good Conduct Medal upon his honorable discharge. He worked for the US Postal Service for 32 faithful years as a postman and retired at the age of 55.

He became an absolute master of the interests he pursued during his lifetime. In his retirement, he took on countless woodworking projects with an incredible level of detail and finish. He even made high quality musical instruments. He gave many of his fine works to friends, family, and the Anacortes Senior Center.

Other interests included fly fishing, bowling, and model aircraft. Jim researched his entire family's genealogy and collated a comprehensive binder with pictures and stories for each of his family members to enjoy. During his lifetime he was an avid outdoorsman who reached the pinnacle of technical rock climbing as an active teacher and leader for climbs in the Washington Cascades with the Seattle Mountaineers.

Jim leaves behind his beloved partner, Mary Jane Krause Ramey: his former wife and life-long friend Reva Dugan; his siblings Frank Lucci and Delores Hawes; and many nieces and nephews and extended family that were influenced by him. He was preceded in death by his sister Frances Fort. He will be missed dearly.

According to his request, his remains will be laid to rest with his mother and father at Washelli Cemetery, Seattle WA.
