James Magnan Obituary
Born in North Attleboro, he was the son of the late George G. and Josephine (St. Peter) Carlson. Mr. Magnan was parole supervisor for the Massachusetts Department of Correction for many years.
Mr. Magnan was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served from 1952 to 1956 during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Judith of Buzzards Bay; his children, Tracy Magnan of Easton and James M. Magnan of King, NC; his siblings, Richard Magnan of Port Charlotte, FL, Bruce Magnan of Sacramento, CA, and George Magnan and Beverly Jutras both of Leesburg, FL. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Jennifer Sanchez. He was predeceased by his daughter, the late Sue-Ann Magnan and his brother, the late Eugene Magnan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at St. Margaret's Church, Main Street, Buzzards Bay at 11:00 a.m. Please go directly to church. Inurnment will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
