Patricia Harris Obituary

In the sweet quietness on the afternoon of Thursday, September 18, 2025, God summoned some of His Angels to descend from Heaven and bring Patricia (Bagley) Harris home to have Eternal Life with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The second of eight children, Patricia, "Pat", as she was affectionately called, was the daughter of John E. Bagley, Sr., and Anne Brodie Bagley. Pat was born in Chester, PA on November 23, 1938, and accepted Christ into her life at an early age.

She met and married Clifton Leon Harris, "Kit", who was the love of her life. To this union God blessed them with three children, Norene Tamara, Michele Rene', and Steven Michael.

Pat received her elementary and secondary education in the Chester and Philadelphia School systems. Pat continued her education at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where she earned a Master of Education (M.Ed.) and was member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority where she also served at her chapter's chaplain for a period.

As an educator, she was dedicated to her profession and had a strong work ethic while working as a high school counselor at Barnstable High School for twenty plus years. Following her retirement, Pat started a second career with JBS Enterprises where she worked for many years.

Pat was totally committed to her family and her many friends. Pat was a shopaholic, loved cooking, an avid reader, sometimes feisty, then again, she had a Christ driven life with limitless love for giving, caring, and sharing.

Patricia is survived by her loving and devoted daughter Norene T. Baker (Gregory); her loving son, Steven, Sr.; son-in-law Kenny Berry; 10 grandchildren, Kevin Wilson II, Troy Wilson Sr., Ashley Berry, Whitney Berry, Crystal Khomenko, Steve Harris, Jr., Gregory Harris, Terrance Harris, Jade Hicks, and Warren Hicks; her siblings John E. Bagley, Jr. (Laverne), Audrey Drayton (Robert), Bette Gaston (Lawrence), Charlene Diggs, and Eldridge Bagley (Janet); 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Patricia was predeceased by her husband Clifton Harris, her daughter Michele R. Harris; her sister Beverly Wortham, brother Garrett Bagley; and brother-in-law Robert Wortham.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 74 Algonquin Ave. (RTE 151), Mashpee. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Pocasset, 298 Barlow's Landing Rd., in Pocasset. Burial will immediately follow on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 12:30 PM at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., in Bourne.
