Dear Uncle Jimmy,
This light resembles the bright and cheerful way you always were.
You will never be forgotten !

Uncle Jimmy,
Today, it's been a month since you left us to be with the Lord. I miss you and you are in my thoughts and prayers nightly. Rest in Peace Uncle.

I will always remember shopping at Uncle Jimmy's department store for back to school clothes. It was an annual tradition and was always a lot of fun because he was always so good to us. Sometimes, he would even let us make bows on the bow making machine. His kind spirit and infectious smile will be missed, but I am comforted in knowing that he is with Auntie Jean again. Praying for his family during this difficult time. RIP Uncle Jimmy

My memories of Uncle Jimmy goes way, way back.
I remember when Uncle and my Dad (Gilbert Wong, Sr.) rented a house in the alley off "E" and Kern Streets in Fresno, CA while they both worked at Holly Dept. Store.
When Uncle would help my Dad watch us at the Oriental Dry Goods Store's Annual picnic at Mooney's Grove in Visalia.
But my MOST special memory is when he came to pick us up (literally); Jr. and I to buy ice cream and candy. Dressed and looking Oh so handsome in his Army uniform. Walking with him hand in hand down the street made me so proud as this soldier was "My Uncle".
After the War, he married Auntie Jean and moved to Lodi. I saw him less, but whenever we traveled North, my Dad HAD to stop to visit with Uncle Jimmy and Uncle Gene at Manteca Dept. Store. Uncle worked long hours there.
These cherished memories will stay with me always.
Say "Hello" to my Mom and My Dad (I miss him) and my nephew, Tommy and Auntie Jean for me. Also, to the Uncle and Aunties I never met.
I was so fortunate to have been able to say "Goodbye" and hold your hand at the hospital before you left us. May you Rest in Peace until we meet again in the House of our Lord.
Lovingly,
Your Niece,
Mimi

One of my fondest memories of Uncle , was when we were kids, my Mom would drive us to Uncle Jimmy's store to shop for clothes before school started. We would always look foward to the trip there. When we got to the store, Uncle was always busy , wearing his white shirt, sleeves rolled up, slacks and always a pen behind his ear. He was always so good to us and after shopping we would go and visit Auntie Jean and little Kenny at their house. Uncle had a kind heart and a generous nature. Rest in Peace.
