James (Jimmy) Maillet, age 68, was born March 15, 1957 in Fitchburg, MA passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025 surrounded by his family.
While Jim enjoyed entertaining his family and friends at his home, he also enjoyed socializing at The Cabin and was a member of the British American Club in Fitchburg. Jim was often seen at diners around the city or enjoying local music. Jim was an avid car enthusiast, having owned over a hundred cars in his lifetime, he was often seen at the car shows in the area.
Jim worked as a Fork Truck Mechanic at Digital for many years. He then worked for Pelletier and Sons as their Warehouse Manager, retiring from Sweeney Drywall as a Warehouse Manager in 2017. During this time, Jim made many lasting friendships.
Jim was predeceased by his parents Delcy and Mary Maillet, his brothers Michael (Micky) and Paul (Bucky) Maillet and his daughter Elizabeth Jane Maillet.
Jim leaves behind a loving family. His adored children, Kristopher Maillet and his wife Sarah of Fitchburg, MA, Kellie Smith and her husband Kyle and their beautiful young girls Elsie and Shay of Fitchburg, MA. Jim leaves behind his wife Andrea Maillet of Gardner and her children who shared a special bond with their stepfather. Heather Maillet, Jordan Ally, Logan and Tyler Johnson of Bethel, ME. Matthew and Lucy Maillet, their son Harbor of York, ME. Shaun Maillet, Catherine Comerford and their sons Malachi and Lincoln Maillet of Gardner, MA
Jim was a great man with quick wit and an ever-smiling face, he will be missed by many.
Calling hours will be held at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, MA, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 4:00-7:00PM.
