Michael Landry Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels & Cremation Services on Feb. 10, 2026.
Michael R. Landry, 69, of Enfield, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, at Baystate Medical Center. He was born on March 7, 1956, at home in Chicopee, Massachusetts, the son of the late Raymond and Irene (St. Pierre) Landry.

Michael was raised in Chicopee and graduated from Chicopee High School. On November 10, 1989, he married the love of his life, Nancy Fessia, with whom he shared 36 devoted years of marriage.

Michael worked several jobs before proudly serving his country in the United States Army, enlisting in his 30s as a Hospital Cook. During their stationing in Landstuhl, Germany, Michael and Nancy traveled extensively throughout Europe, creating memories that lasted a lifetime. Following his honorable discharge, Michael pursued higher education at Fitchburg State University, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

Michael and Nancy made their home in Enfield, where he was employed by Cirtec Medical as a Clean Room Technician. In his free time, Michael was an avid reader who rarely missed a trip to the library. He enjoyed playing Scrabble on the computer, golfing, and often reflected with pride on his cross-country bicycle trip in the 1980s, which he completed on a 10-speed bike.

Above all else, Michael had a deep love for cats, especially Dakin, who had been lovingly by his side since being rescued from the Dakin Humane Society.

Michael leaves behind his beloved wife, Nancy Landry; his sister, Lynne King and her husband Tom; his sister-in-law, Pamela Silva and her husband Michael; along with many cherished nieces and nephews.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Irene (St. Pierre) Landry, and his brothers, Raymond Landry and David Landry.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, Connecticut. A funeral home service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's memory may be made to the Dakin Humane Society, 171 Union Street, Springfield, Massachusetts. For online expressions of sympathy, please visit www.leetestevens.com.
