Barbara Berry Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Windsor Locks Funeral Home on Feb. 13, 2026.
Barbara (Dunn) Berry, 90, of West Hartford, passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Berry, who predeceased her in 2021.

Born in New York City, New York on December 4, 1935, Barbara was the daughter of the late Hugh and Mary (Noonan) Dunn. She lived in New York City until the age of seven, when her family relocated to Hartford. They later moved to Windsor Locks and Enfield. For the past 45 years, Barbara made her home in West Hartford.

After graduating from high school, Barbara began working as an assembler at Hamilton Standard. She later stepped away from her career to focus on raising her daughter, Susan. Once Susan was in school, Barbara returned to Hamilton Standard, where she remained until her retirement.

Barbara will be remembered for her infectious smile, her steady presence, her loyalty to those she loved, and the deep connections she maintained throughout her life.

In addition to her husband and parents, Barbara was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Susan Berry Hartford, and her brother, Michael Dunn, both in 2025.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Patricia Villa; her nieces and nephews, Julie Eason, Laura Peter, Brian Saccoccia, and Gary Saccoccia; her lifelong best friend, Donna L. Walker; her longtime friend, Robin Shaw; and her beloved neighbors, Holly and Zeke.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 19th at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery in Windsor Locks, where she will be laid to rest beside her parents and brother.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fr. Ed Nadolny Media Ministry, c/o Good News Fund, 467 Bloomfield Avenue, Bloomfield, CT 06002.
