William Taylor Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Windsor Locks Funeral Home on Feb. 3, 2026.
William S. Taylor Jr., 69, of East Windsor, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, at Salmon Brook Nursing Home in Glastonbury.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut, on January 21, 1956, William was the son of Evelyn (Liggett) Taylor and the late William S. Taylor Sr. He grew up in Windsor Locks and attended Windsor Locks schools.

William dedicated many years to hard work, spending 16 years at the Finest Warehouse before continuing his career at Amerifit Nutrients in Bloomfield, where he worked for five years.

He had a passion for life beyond work, especially as an avid NASCAR fan and a devoted mountain bike rider, a hobby he proudly enjoyed well into his 60s. Those who knew William will remember his determination, loyalty, and the joy he found in the things he loved.

William leaves behind his wife, Patricia (Seymour) Taylor; his mother Evelyn Taylor; his stepson, Joseph Caruso; and his cherished grandchildren, Alivia, Amber, and Jack. He is also survived by his brothers, John and Wayne; and his sisters, Karen, Lisa, and Beth; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by his stepchildren, Colleen and Anthony.

Burial will be held privately in the spring.

Dear Lisa and family, so sorry for your loss. Billy was the first upper classman to make me feel comfortable as a lil ol freshman. I'll never forget his kindness. Thinking of you, Susie Seaha
