William Francis O'Brien Jr., 74, of Venice, Florida, formerly of Windsor Locks, Connecticut, beloved husband of Linda (Coles) O'Brien, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut on August 6, 1951, William was the son of the late William Francis O'Brien Sr. and Mary (Lloyd) O'Brien. Following graduation, William embarked on a long and successful career in finance, working with Hamilton Standard, Envirotest, and later the University of Hartford.

His dedication to education and civic service extended to his time as a member of the East Granby School Board.

In his leisure time, William enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams, the New York Yankees and the New York Giants.

Bill and I worked at milton Standard for many years...we had a friendship that lasted forever. Linda and Bill traveled with us on many a vacation but our favorite was with the Simons Obriens and Zielinski to California. I loved Bill O'Brien and RIP buddy.
