Nancy Clavette Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Windsor Locks Funeral Home on Jan. 21, 2026.
Nancy Clavette, 71, of Windsor, beloved wife of the late Bertus Bolle, entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Touchpoints Nursing Care Center in Bloomfield, Connecticut. The daughter of the late Aurel Clavette and the late Martine (Martin) Clavette, Nancy was born on August 28, 1954, in Edmundson, New Brunswick, Canada, and was raised in Madawaska, Maine.

During her childhood, Nancy enjoyed ice skating at the local pond, an activity she loved. She graduated from Madawaska High School in 1973 and soon thereafter moved to Connecticut to be close to her Uncle Levite and Aunt Charlene. In her adult years, Nancy was a proud employee of Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford, Connecticut, where she worked for over 30 years. Nancy's greatest joy in life was being a wife to Bertus, whom she married in 1989. She deeply valued time spent with her family, including her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Nancy and Bert especially looked forward to their yearly trips to Las Vegas, as well as visits back to Maine to see her parents.

She is survived by her sister, Joan (Clavette) Chasse, and brother-in-law, Bob Chasse, of Frenchville, Maine; their children, Lisa Chasse, April (Chasse) Beaulieu, and Scott Chasse; and her brother, James Clavette, of Madawaska, Maine. She is also survived by her uncle, Levite Clavette Jr., and aunt, Charlene (Bouchard) Clavette, of Windsor Locks, Connecticut; her sister-in-law, Beverly Sesko, of Torrington, Connecticut, and her son, Thomas Sesko; her aunts Arlene Clavette of Enfield, Connecticut, and Maggie Clavette of Buena Park, California; her cousin Lee Clavette of Windsor Locks, Connecticut; his children Ryan, Steven, and Michael Clavette, and many other cousins and friends.

Nancy is also survived by her cousin, Pamela (Clavette) Moriarty, who served as her primary caretaker during the last few years of her life, as well as her children, Caitlin (Moriarty) Curcio and Phoebe Moriarty.

Family and friends are invited to Visitation on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring Street, Windsor Locks, Connecticut. Interment will take place at 11:45 a.m. at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road., Bloomfield, Connecticut in the mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) at https://engage.mymsaa.org
