Gerald D. "Gerry" Clavette, 81, of
Methuen, MA, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025, surrounded by the love of his adoring wife. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Gerry was a man of great dedication, kindness, and passion for life.
Born in Canada in 1943 to the late Leo and Annette (Deschene) Clavette, Gerry built a life rooted in hard work, family values, and cherished traditions. As a dedicated construction worker, he took pride in his craft and left a lasting mark through his commitment to building and creating.
A man of deep faith and service, Gerry was a Third Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, embodying the principles of charity, unity, and fraternity throughout his life. His generosity and dedication to helping others made a profound impact on those around him.
Gerry found great joy in life's simple pleasures, whether at the casino, casting a fishing line, or spending time in the kitchen, cooking alongside his beloved wife, Joan. His love for her homemade stuffed peppers was just one of the many ways he celebrated the warmth of family traditions. Annual trips to Chateauguay in Canada were a highlight of his life, reconnecting with loved ones and embracing his roots.
For 53 beautiful years, he was the loving husband of Joan M. (Hebert) Clavette, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and laughter. Gerry was the devoted father to Donna Rotsaert of New Jersey and the proud grandfather to Christopher, Gabriela, and Hunter. He was a caring stepfather to Melody Harvey and a cherished step-grandfather to Adam. He was the beloved brother of Armand, Gilberte, Jocelyne, Jacqueline, Bertrand, Aldeo, Yvette, and Marcel, and he leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will always remember his warmth and wisdom.
Gerry was predeceased by his siblings Edna, Fernand, Gilbert, Adrien, Ghislaine, and Denise, as well as his stepdaughter Gail Taschereau.
His legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to family and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to Gerry's Visitation on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street,
Methuen, MA. His Funeral Mass will be held the following morning at 11:00 am at St. Lucy's Church, 254 Merrimack Street,
Methuen, MA. Burial will be held at a later date.
