He is survived by his wife, Pat Douglas Davis, brothers, Charles Martin, Bob Martin, sister, Marilyn Rudolph, children, Ronald J. Martin, Gina Martin Rutledge, stepson, Douglas Davis-Gore, grandchildren, Owen Rutledge, Murphy Rutledge, and step granddaughter, Kylia Davis-Walls.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of service. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories and leave messages of condolence on James's tribute wall at www.BlackburnandWard.com.
