James R. "Jim" Mattiford, age 81 of Garnet Valley, PA passed away peacefully on June 18, 2023 at his home. Born in Chester and raised in Lester, PA, Jim resided in the Belmont community in Garnet Valley, PA for the past 16 years, previously residing in Boothwyn, PA. He graduated from Eddystone High School, Class of 1959, and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Jim was a Chief Operator for Sunoco LP for 30 years, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed working around the house and going on trips and cruises. In addition to his parents, Ralph and Julia (Kaminski) Mattiford, Jim is preceded in death by his son, Scott Mattiford, who passed in 1991, and a brother, Richard Mattiford. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Beth (Perkins) Mattiford, brother, William (Diane) Mattiford, sister, Gerry McBride and many nieces and nephews.
