James McCarron Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory - Cumming on May 27, 2023.
Obituary
James Patrick McCarron August 2, 1940 - May 24, 2023
James, also known as Dad, Jim and Jimmy to his loved ones and friends, broke free from Lewy Body Dementia on May 24, 2023.
Born in Buffalo, NY in 1940, Jim was adopted by Daniel and Clara McCarron and raised in Youngstown, OH. A graduate of Rayen High School and Youngstown College (now Youngstown State University), he worked for Parker Hannifin for 42 years before retiring in 2005.
With his partner of 10 years, Mary Bell, he enjoyed the winters in Florida and beautiful summers in Wisconsin where they shared a love of gardening and maintaining an immaculate yard.
A proud father, he was the rock for this three children, Dan, Christine, and Michael. Always there for advice and support, he saw his son move up the ranks in the Forsyth County Sheriff's Department and his daughter grow her career in Cybersecurity.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel, and Clara; his son, Daniel; his sister, Mary; and his granddaughter, Kirstin.
He leaves behind cherished memories with his partner, Mary Bell; daughter, Christine McCarron (Kiah); son, Michael (Cindy); grandchildren, Jordan, James, Maddie, Emma Grace, and Sean; and so many friends from Florida, Arkansas, Ohio and Wisconsin.
If you knew Jim, you also knew his humor and his love of the Dallas Cowboys. So, when you think about his laugh or see that Dallas Cowboys' star, smile for Jim! He was a good man, loved and respected by everyone who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the Lewy body Dementia Association (https://www.lbda.org/donate/).
