Ronald Lee "Ronnie" Buice, age 70, of Lilburn, passed away on December 1, 2025, in Brunswick, Georgia, doing the two things he loved most-spending time with his family and fishing. Born on April 20, 1955, in Rochelle, Georgia, Ronnie lived a life defined by resilience, adventure, and an unwavering devotion to those he loved.
Ronnie was unapologetically himself. He lived boldly and fully, with a personality as big as his heart. Whether casting a line into the water or gathering with family for a celebration, Ronnie brought energy and authenticity to every moment. He was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in hunting and fishing and was always ready for the next adventure.
A self-made entrepreneur, Ronnie worked just as hard as he played. His determination and drive were evident in everything he pursued. He built his life through grit and perseverance, never shying away from a challenge and always embracing opportunities with enthusiasm.
Ronnie's early years were shaped by his time at the Georgia Baptist Children's Home in Baxley, Georgia-a place that left a lasting impression on him. Alongside several of his siblings, he spent formative years there and carried its influence throughout his life. Deeply grateful for the support he received during those years, Ronnie remained a devoted supporter of the Children's Home well into adulthood. His commitment ensured that others could benefit from its mission just as he once had.
For over 50 years, Ronnie shared his life with his beloved wife Sue Buice. Their enduring partnership was marked by love, laughter, and shared purpose. Together they raised Tiffany Keown, Emily Standridge, and Hannah Standridge. One of Ronnie's proudest recent moments was walking Tiffany down the aisle-a memory that will be cherished by all who witnessed it.
Ronnie is survived by his brothers Robert Buice; Jerry Buice and wife Carol; twin brother Donald Buice and wife Reba; sister Margaret Redwine and husband Mike; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will deeply miss his presence.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Sue; parents Elizabeth and Carl Buice; brothers Henry Buice, Roy Dean Buice, and James Buice; sisters Faye Tolbert, Linda Wade, Mary Ann Buice, and Janie Limbaugh.
Ronnie's legacy is one of strength forged through adversity, love expressed through action, and joy found in simple pleasures like casting a line or sharing stories around a fire. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him-and in every ripple across still waters where he once fished.
May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn him. A Funeral Service will be held on December 6, 2025, from 01:30 PM to 02:30 PM at Mc Donald & Son Funeral Home 150 Sawnee Dr.,
Cumming, GA 30040. Burial will be at Green Lawn Cemetery 950 Mansell Rd., Roswell, GA 30076 immediately following the service. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 5th from 4pm to 8pm.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to Georgia Baptist Children's Home of Baxley 9420 Blackshear Highway Baxley, GA 31513 and Old Times Fund PO 545 Baxley, GA 31515.
