     Mr. James P. “Jamie” McMillan, IV passed away Thursday, September 5th, 2024, at the age of 53.

     Jamie was born in Sumter, SC, a son of James McMillan and Marsha Ann “Shan” Gentry. Being outdoors was a true love of his; hunting and fishing were two things he greatly enjoyed. He also enjoyed going to music festivals. 

     Surviving are his parents, James P. (Anita) McMillan, III and Marsha Ann “Shan” Gentry; siblings: Robert Beatty, Lauri Merritt McMillan, Anne Britton (Kelley Finch) Gentry, Alyson English Gentry, Jeff (Vanessa) McMillan, Michelle (John) Quartullo, Jenny M. (Brooks) Taylor; nieces & nephews: Merritt Richard McMillan, Amari Easton Gentry, Carson Adams, Gianna Quartullo, Nina Quartullo, Maria Quartullo, Angelina Quartullo, Kalyn McMillan, McKinley Taylor, and Remy Taylor.

     He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George Greg Cooper & Archie and Ann Baskin Beattie; paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. James P. McMillan, Jr.; brother, Chris Clark; and stepfather, Richard Gentry.

     His funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 on Friday afternoon, September 13th, 2024, from the Bishopville Chapel of Norton Funeral Home with Reverend Kelley Finch officiating. Burial will follow in the Bishopville Presbyterian Church Cemetery and the family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Also, the family welcomes friends for a reception following the committal at 110 S. Heywad St., Bishopville.

     Serving as pallbearers will be Brooks Taylor, Craig Gaitley, Phillip Carter, Dr. Bart Swaim, Bert Frazier and Gregg McCutchen. 

     Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Steven Gaitley, David Carter, English Cooper and Gregg Cooper.
