James (Jim) Roger Mikesh, 88, of Pequot Lakes, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025 surrounded by family. Jim was born to John and Minda (Gjemse) Mikesh on September 14, 1936, in St. Paul. He married Nancy Horner on April 12, 1958, in Minneapolis. He was an engineer and VP for Cherne Contracting Corp.
Jim was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed traveling, skiing, boating, flying, building homes and wintering in Florida. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held on April 9th at 11:00am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 13505 Excelsior Blvd, Minnetonka, MN. Luncheon to follow at the church. Private burial at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.
Jim is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Marcy Mikesh, Jim Mikesh, Carrie Mikesh, Becky (Ted) Lange, Debbie Mikesh, Kristi (Jim) Fiebiger; grandchildren, Dustin, Dylan, Garrett, Stephanie, Adam, Aimee, Alex, Weston, Mitchell, Ryan, Nikki; and nine great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marge Coughlin; brother, John Mikesh; and son-in-law Steve Petrich.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Pequot Lakes, MN.
