James Carrol Miles

Mr. James Carrol Miles, 72, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024. He was born March 24, 1951 in Alleghany County to the late William Earl and Dorothy Jean Johnson Miles. Rev. Miles was a retired Minster of the Gospel, having served for over 32 years and was attending Holly Springs Baptist Church in Harmony. James owned and operated a starter and alternator business for over 25 years, and for the past 20 years, he and his daughter have owned and operated A&D Trucking. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Denise Johnson Miles; their daughter, Ashley Denise Miles (William Ponch Yates); brother, Greg Miles; brother-in-law, Garrett Johnson; nieces, Brooke Miles, Kristy Sipes, Kelly Johnson; great-niece, Brianna Hinceman. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM at Holly Springs Baptist Church in Harmony. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. Cliff Gwaltney and Rev. Joey Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in in the church cemetery.
