A Graveside Funeral serviceand Interment for James T. "J.T." Montgomery, 86, will be Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Valhermoso Baptist Cemetery with Bro. Michael Gunter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. No visitation is scheduled.

Mr. Montgomery died on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Health Center at Research Park. He was born March 12, 1939, in Morgan County, to Thad Harvey Montgomery and Georgia J. McClure Montgomery.

He was a truck driver for Cerro Wire, prior to his retirement. He was a very friendly, funny man, was a loving father, and grandfather and that cared for the "Jennings" family, like they were family. He was a proud grandfather and loved his grandchildren. He enjoyed Blue Heeler Dogs.

Preceding him in death were his parents and brothers- Billy, Harold, Letrell, Milton and Gary.

Survivors include
Son - Timmy Montgomery,

Daughter - Joan, Kim and Dana,

Brother - Jerry Montgomery,

Twelve Grandchildren,

Numerous Great Grandchildren,

Dearest Friends-
Sam Jennings, Sunshine R. Jennings, who he thought of as a granddaughter,

and Savanah Jennings, who he claimed as a granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Chris Thornberry, Donald Hill, and Darrius Chunn.
