James Jaquarius Moore, Sr., 49, born on April 27, 1976, in Amory, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, Louisiana. James was affectionately known as "Mo". He was a dedicated truck driver for Trans Mega Group, LLC, where he was known for his commitment to his work and the camaraderie he shared with colleagues.

James was a loving father to his son, James Jaquarius Moore, Jr. of Little Rock, Arkansas, who will carry forward his legacy. He is also survived by his stepchildren and grandchildren: Kira, Ken, Al, Sanquisha, and Darquavion Morrow of Tupelo, MS. He is also He is survived by his sisters, Ann Wells of Ocala, FL, Nancy Moore of Tupelo, MS, and Sandy Moore of Aberdeen, MS, who will cherish the memories they created together throughout their lives. His aunt: Annie Moore of Tupelo, MS; brother/cousin: Joseph (Katie) Moore of. West Allis, WI. His nieces, nephews, a host of cousins, relatives, and friends, where he leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and vibrant spirit that not only touches the lives of all who knew him, but he left you feeling loved and important!  His family exemplifies the strong bonds and love that defined his life.

James was preceded in death by his mother, Vernice Nell Moore, and his sister, Susan Moore; his nephews, Byron Moore and Matthew Gunn. Their memories will undoubtedly remain alive within the hearts of those who knew them.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Amory, followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 1:00 PM at the same location. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring and remembering a man who touched the lives of many with his kindness and dedication.

James Jaquarius Moore, Sr., will be deeply missed yet fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
