In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Ann Huff.
He is survived by a son, James I. Moorman, Jr.; daughter, Jackie Lynn Moorman (Phillip Williams); three grandchildren, James I. Moorman "Trey", III, Jayden Moorman, and Kamron Moorman; a sister, Nelda Kay Moorman; and several nieces and nephews.
A private burial will be held at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
