James Moran, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, has sadly passed away at the age of 89 on February 23, 2024. Born in Ireland on October 7, 1934, to his parents James and Mary Moran. James led a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and hard work.
Throughout his career, James made significant contributions to the NYC Transit Authority, showcasing his skills and passion for engineering. His commitment and expertise have left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of working with him.
James will be dearly missed by his surviving family members: his adored spouse Kathleen Moran (Nee: Flynn), his loving daughter Rosemary Haas, devoted son James Moran, cherished grandchildren Shannon (Dean) Licurgo, Kiera (Tim) Greco, Valerie (Steve) Tanaka, and Gina Moran. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Timothy Greco, James Greco, Drew Licurgo, as well as his sister Mary Rose Moran.
A visitation in memory of James Moran will take place on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park, NY. Following this, a burial service will be held at Saint Charles Cemetery in East Farmingdale from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM.
James Moran's legacy of hard work, kindness, and dedication will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
