James Allen "Jim" Moulds

James "Jim" Allen Moulds passed away at the age of 71 on May 11th, 2025 at 10:30 PM with his family at his side.
He was born in Littlefork MN on March 18th, 1954 to Arthur and Marilyn Moulds (Poynter), the fourth of five children. Jim enjoyed people. He loved his family first, but brought a much needed light into every room and every life he entered. Jim and his wife (Diane) kept an open door policy at their home, warmly welcoming anyone who needed a safe space, a good prayer, or just needed a good laugh. Jim was always the loudest in the room, laughing and joking constantly. He was the best caretaker, making sure ask those around him were fed, happy and as healthy as they could be. Jim enjoyed varies hobbies and activities such as, fishing with his kids or Duane, playing golf, hunting, music, riding four wheelers, telling the best (worst) dad jokes and taking Diane for road trips. Jim was the wittiest, most sarcastic person you'd meet, keeping everyone on their toes and laughing. Jim also enjoyed gardening but had a special place in his heart for his tomato plants and apple trees.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of almost 50 years Virginia Diane Moulds (Gnirke), his children James Moulds II, Jaime Dougherty (Chris), Jill Jacobson (Cecil), Josh Moulds (Jesse Hefner), his brother Tom Lahr-Moulds (Lori), brother Lance Moulds, sister-in-law Paula Ostrom, niece Trish Blonigen (Ted) who has been like a daughter, his grandchildren Brody Paggen (Faith), Brock Paggen, Braelyn Paggen (Cyris Blacer), Brier Paggen, Dakota Jacobson (Austin Breyer), Tristan Jacobson, close friends (who are more like family) Duane Evje and family, Lloyd Olson, and countless amazing relatives. He was preceded in death by his Father Arthur Moulds, Mother Marilyn "Dode" Moulds (Poynter), brother Ron Moulds, sister Debbie Moulds, and close friend Marilyn Evje.
Celebration of life will be held Friday May 23rd, 2025 at Cease Family Funeral Home at 2807 Irvine Ave NW, Bemidji, MN 56601. Visitation starts at 10:00 AM with service at 11:00 AM. The burial will be immediately following the service, at the family cemetery (A Dam Good Place) 26525 Clearwater Lake Rd, Leonard, MN 56652.
