James Mulreed Obituary
James Patrick Mulreed, 63, passed away suddenly while on vacation in Aruba. Born in Newark, NJ, and raised in South Orange, James was a longtime resident of Springfield.
He was a dedicated carpenter for Seton Hall University, where he worked from 1982 until the present and a man of God.
James was predeceased by his parents, James and Mary (Fleming) Mulreed, and his sister Donna Ryan. He is survived by his adoring children, Samantha Roman (Steve) and James Mulreed, and their mother, Christine Mulreed. He is also survived by his siblings Thomas (Ellen), Kenneth (Erika), Carolyn, Kerri Mulreed, Theresa Dagney (Dave), his loving partner, Robin Prusin and all of his nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 29th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect Street, South Orange, on Thursday, January 30th at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.

It has been almost a year. Jimmy is still very much missed and always will be. We think of him often and even quote some of his best sharing from time to time. My friend that I met in charter. He use to give me a ride home. I gave him a religious tape called "sinners prayer by Dettrick." That was back in 94, He kept it ever since. A great friend and soul. Will be dearly missed. We both are fellow capricorns and that´s what made us click and by sharing the same personality and that made him almost as funny as me. A smile that will light up a whole room.

Don and I are so very sorry to have learned of Jimmy's passing.
Met him in the early 2000's. Grew to know him and see all of the
wonderful ways in which he helped his fellow travelers - including
me. Jimmy was a true friend and will be missed.
