Jim was a big and important part of my life in my younger years...beginning at the age of fifteen. Those years were never forgotten and are cherished.

The last time I saw Jim was right after his first daughter was born; he was so ecstatic about being a dad.

I would check in with mutual friends over the years to see how he was doing and was happy to hear that he found a great love with Linda and had children.

I was devastated to hear of his passing and truthfully a piece of my heart left with him. One never forgets their first love. It touches our lives and enriches it forever.

Jim, may your soul fly joyfully and may you be surrounded by unconditional love for eternity.

To Jimmy's family, I dont know where to begin. I am so sorry for your loss. I met Jim in January of 1978. We were stationed together at Pope AFB, NC. I was an electrician too and we were on the Prime Beef team. He was a lineman at that time and I was interior electric. Our shops were right next door to each other in our compound. He was home on leave in July of 1978 and so was I. We always hung out in his barracks room. I got back from leave before Jimmy and immediately went to his room to show off my new car I got and drove back. He wasn't back yet but his roommate was there. When I went inside I found the guys hanging out. There were also 2 girls. One I knew, the other was someone new. I met her that day and she became my wife. 47 years now. He had that shovelhead then. We all hung out most everyday for 3 years. We reconnected in 2000 and I also had my Harley by then. We were able to ride together. A great day. We lost touch again and we were going to try and hook up again when sadly we found his obit. The world is a better place because Jimmy was here. May the Lord wrap His Loving arms around you all.
