James Munro Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wilson Funeral Home on Jan. 9, 2026.
James A. Munro, age 67, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026. He was born on May
24, 1958, and lived a life defined by service, dedication, and adventure.
James was a passionate and highly skilled electrician, known for his strong work ethic,
reliability, and pride in his craft. His commitment to serving others extended beyond his
career-he proudly served his country in both the United States Air Force and the Army
National Guard.
James had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved dog, Lucy, who was his constant
companion and brought immeasurable joy to his life. He also enjoyed seeing all the trophies
won by the rabbits he and Linda raised. He found freedom on the open road, enjoying
countless rides on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, embracing the camaraderie and spirit of
the biker community.
He will be remembered for his big heart, his hardworking hands, and his unshakable loyalty
to the people and animals he loved.
James is survived by his devoted life partner, Linda Sarkisian; his cherished daughters,
Heidi Ricker and Crystal Robinson; his brother, Ronald Roy and his wife, Terry Roy; his
beloved grandchildren, Lucas Cote and Maxwell Costello; his nieces, Michelle Letourneau,
Donna Roy, and Marie Tucci; his nephews, Jason and Matthew Boulanger; and many
extended family members and friends whose lives he touched. He was predeceased by his
mother, Mingonne Munro; his father, Charles Munro; and his brothers Michael Roy and
Richard Munro.
James' legacy of love, laughter, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Jim was a big and important part of my life in my younger years...beginning at the age of fifteen. Those years were never forgotten and are cherished.

The last time I saw Jim was right after his first daughter was born; he was so ecstatic about being a dad.

I would check in with mutual friends over the years to see how he was doing and was happy to hear that he found a great love with Linda and had children.

I was devastated to hear of his passing and truthfully a piece of my heart left with him. One never forgets their first love. It touches our lives and enriches it forever.

Jim, may your soul fly joyfully and may you be surrounded by unconditional love for eternity.

To Jimmy's family, I dont know where to begin. I am so sorry for your loss. I met Jim in January of 1978. We were stationed together at Pope AFB, NC. I was an electrician too and we were on the Prime Beef team. He was a lineman at that time and I was interior electric. Our shops were right next door to each other in our compound. He was home on leave in July of 1978 and so was I. We always hung out in his barracks room. I got back from leave before Jimmy and immediately went to his room to show off my new car I got and drove back. He wasn't back yet but his roommate was there. When I went inside I found the guys hanging out. There were also 2 girls. One I knew, the other was someone new. I met her that day and she became my wife. 47 years now. He had that shovelhead then. We all hung out most everyday for 3 years. We reconnected in 2000 and I also had my Harley by then. We were able to ride together. A great day. We lost touch again and we were going to try and hook up again when sadly we found his obit. The world is a better place because Jimmy was here. May the Lord wrap His Loving arms around you all.
